Examination & Promotion Policy

Examination Frequency

L.K.G. – Class V

3 examinations per academic year

Class VI – Class X

4 examinations per academic year

Passing Criteria

  1. A student must secure a minimum of 33% marks (or D grade) in each subject and in the aggregate to pass.
  2. Applications for verification of marks must be submitted within 3 days of the declaration of results.

Promotion Policy

L.K.G. – Class V

No detention policy — students are promoted to the next class; parents may be guided to optionally repeat a class in the child's interest.

Class VI – Class VIII

33% in all subjects results in promotion. A single failed subject is "passed by grace." Two or more failed subjects require a supplementary examination.

Class IX – Class X

33% marks constitute a pass. Below this, the student must appear for a supplementary examination as per CBSE norms.
